Antique Shopping & Thrifting

Thrift store shopping and looking for genuine antique and vintage items is thrilling for many. Decorating your house with items and furniture handed down through generations can fill your home with character! Boerne has a diverse shopping scene with several stores selling handcrafted items and things passed on from one shopper to the next.

When shopping in Boerne, the majority of shops you’ll find will be clothing stores, offering attire ranging from designer to handmade. There are a wide variety of boutiques and shops catering to women, men, and children.

If your goal is to put together a wardrobe that has both flair and style, then The Alley On Main is your best bet. Selling a mixture of distinctive finds and contemporary chic outfits, it’s ideal for women in search of something no one else will have in their closet. Housed inside of an old bank, Bechants is a captivating department store with everything from jewelry to custom stationery. Those looking for Western wear or leatherwork will enjoy Billy's Western Wear or Boerne Boot and Hide. Celeste, Ella Blue, Joli Boutique, and Boutique Chloe Rose offer beautiful perfumes, candles, shoes, handbags, and clothes.

One of the reasons people love shops like The Pearl Antler and Pixie is that they cater to women of all shapes and sizes. You don’t have to worry about finding something you love that isn’t in your size! And the best part is, their offerings are affordable and attractive. Boerne is also home to several shops geared toward children’s clothing and maternity wear, like Cutie Patootie and Mommy 2B. LuLu Bells is the place to visit for funny gifts and custom embroidery.

Accessories & jewelry

Most of the clothing stores and boutiques listed above also sell accessories and jewelry to complement your new outfit. In addition, Boerne has several establishments selling nothing but jewelry. Boerne’s full-service jeweler is Boerne Jewelers. This family-owned and operated business has been selling gorgeous pieces, as well as providing appraisals and repairs, for over a decade.

J. Forks Designs, created by owner Jenny Forks, reflects the significant amount of time she spent in the country’s southwestern region. Her time there sparked her love of jewelry, and she started creating pieces for friends and family. Today, the store’s designs are Southwest-inspired and pair perfectly with their graphic T-shirt line. Bold jewelry pieces using handcrafted leather, semi-precious gemstones, and beadwork are the staples of J. Forks Design pieces.

Morrell Jewelry offers custom jewelry design and consignment jewelry, watches, and men’s accessories.

While many of the shops listed above also sell home goods and decor, there are stores specifically designed to meet all of your needs for home goods. Cielo Mercantile is a fascinating store housed within the town’s original post office. It brings together a mix of items for home, bath, and body. Corner Cartel, also located inside a historic building, sells an array of vintage and trendy items suitable for every interest and style.

The Dienger Trading Co. is a Boerne establishment with a legacy dating back to 1884 to the original owners, the Dienger family. Joseph Dienger started the business on Boerne’s Main Street in the late 1800s as an upscale grocery store, with the family residing in the upstairs living quarters. The building stayed in the family until 1950, and it is the current owner’s mission to restore it to its former glory and to pay homage to the Diengers.

Other home good stores include The Sanctuary for the Vintage Soul, Twin Sisters Home & Flooring, and Of A Muse.
