Everything to Expect at the Texas Hill Country Invitational Fine Art Show and Sale This Year

Beautiful colors, breathtaking art, and vibrant people—you can expect to see all of these things on October 19th at the Texas Hill Country Invitational Fine Art Show and Sale. Boerne Professional Artists and Hill Country Council of the Arts are hosting the 16th annual event, which will showcase nationally renowned and acclaimed artists in addition to recognizing notable and emerging local ones. During this event, you’ll be able to peruse exceptional and unique art crafted by each artist. Looking to add a one-of-a-kind piece to your home? Art will also be available for purchase.

Who Are the Artists?

Each artist had to go through an application and selection process, so the art you will see is the best of the best. The nationally acclaimed artists include Rex Hausmann, Madelyn Sneed-Grays, and Tyler Butcher. Local artists include Jon De Leon, Karen Mangold, Patty Dunbar, Julene Franki, Carolyn Roberts, Denise Locke, Mark Holly, Kristy Watson, Harold Teel, Louis Garcia, and more. 

The artists will be mingling with attendees, providing a personal element to the event. You can learn more about these artists and preview some of the pieces that will be at the show here.

Will Artists Be Awarded?

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be presented before the start of the show. The “People’s Choice Award” will be chosen after the end of the event.

Who Do the Sales Benefit?

If you are looking to support local artists, this event is the way to go. Proceeds of artwork sold at the Texas Hill Country Invitational Fine Art Show will go directly to the creators.

On the evening of Friday, October 18th, VIP ticket holders will have access to an exclusive reception that kicks off with a Quick Draw contest at 7 p.m. Artists will have one hour to complete a work of art, and the live auction will begin at 8:30 p.m. 50% of auction proceeds from the Quick Draw contest will go straight to the AgriCULTURAL Kids Art Camp Scholarship Fund. The other 50% will go directly to the artist.

Can’t Make It?

Don’t worry! The art show and sale will extend into Sunday, October 20th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
